Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, in her speech on recent visits to Japan, Bulgaria and Saudi Arabia, said that world leaders have expressed their surprise at the pace of Bangladesh’s development.
The PM made the assertion at a press conference at her Ganabhaban official residence on Wednesday afternoon (June 8).
She said that the global leaders are surprised seeing Bangladesh’s socio-economic development. ‘Bangladesh’s achievement of over 7 percent GDP has made them surprised.’
According to the PM, her visits were successful. ‘Especially, the visit in Saudi Arabia was very fruitful. During the discussion with Saudi government, they had informed us to recruit skilled and semi-skilled workers from Bangladesh.’
‘Moreover, the Saudi traders have expressed their eagerness to invest in Bangladesh.’
About her Bulgaria visit, the PM said that her attendance in ‘Global Women Leaders Forum’ in Sofia has made the image of Bangladesh brighter.
